This bronze statue is known as the Prince Siddhartha Gautama, who decided not to become the next King, goes out to find life amongst ordinary people. He then sits under the Bodi Tree and find enlightenment, then becoming Buddha.

These were the most glorious days of the Majapahit Era, and Gaja Mada as priminister accompanied him.
In this period it had relations with India, Cambodia, China, Muangthai.

The ports of Ujung Galun, Gresik, Passuian in East Java in the Surabaya area were visited by the Chinese, Indian and Persian traders, hence the import of Buddha Statues in bronze, wood and stone and other deities.
